ArtYears is One today. Off course, it has always been spelt as one-word, but what we mean to imply is that ArtYears is celebrating its First Anniversary this month. It also means that, the team has displayed its oneness for a year now. So Happy ArtYears if youre reading this

The magic of the number One
has always fascinated me. It is to suggest that One
is exclusive. The Numero Uno. Only the Best,
or rather, the Best of the Best. So, this month, the
magic of the number One touches us all. ArtYears is
at its best now, as it celebrates its Anniversary No 1.
It is difficult to imagine that we could exist without the number
1. If not for One, there would perhaps be
no two, three, four and so on. It is to say that everything precedes
the First. The One is always at the top.
In the race to the finish it is always the number One
that comes first. Unless off course, you are discussing that age-old
joke that involves the feathered creature. Then you might ask, Who
came first; the chicken or the egg? I believe that if you
put the chicken and the egg in a race, the chicken will always arrive
first. Unless off course, the egg rolls faster.
Coming back to the Number 1, it must be said that you
cannot go very far without the one. Count your fingers
eight, nine, ten and youre up to eleven with a couple
of ones again. It is something you cannot ignore for
too long. You can possibly ignore, but cannot avoid.
You might suppose Im harping on the lone Single
digit. I would say well, Yes & No. Yes Im
obsessed with the numeral & No Im not
given in to the drink. Not yet, atleast. However, ArtYears has touched
a milestone and I plan to drink to that soon. So Cheers!
You can go on and on about the No 1, all the way to
the loo perhaps. Unless off course, if you are going
in there for a No 2. Like they say, when you gotta
go, you gotta go. I say chaps, Lets go for the No 2.
The Second Anniversary, that is!
